Antonio Agri

Sadko's World of Music

January 31,2010

Astor Piazzolla & Antonio Agri - Soledad
Antonio Agri NOSTALGIAS (1936)Lyrics: Enrique Cadícamo Music: Juan Carlos Cobian
I drunk my heart
mad love to forget
that more than love is to suffer ...
And I come here for that,
to delete old kisses
in the kisses of other mouths.
If your love was flower of a day,
that cause is always mine
this cruel concern.
I, for both, raise my glass
to forget my stubbornness,
and further back to remember.

Nostalgia
to hear his crazy laugh
and feel with my mouth
like a fire breathing ...
Anxieties
to feel abandoned
and feel that one on his side
soon, soon to talk of love ...
Brother,
I will not stoop
not ask or beg
I cannot say no more live.
In my sad solitude
truly drop dead roses
of my youth.

Moans, accordian, tango your gray
maybe you like you hurt
sentimental love some ...
My soul cries puppet
lonely and sad tonight,
black, starless night.
If the glasses bring comfort,
Here I am with my devotion
to drown than once.
I heart drunk
then be able to provide
by the failures of love.

Pops McGonigle Top Ten Small Gifts I've Ever Gotten

Christmas 2008
1. Tickets. Maybe the person on your list has a favorite sports team. If so, why not get them tickets to the big game? Detroit Lions Tickets Detroit Tigers Tickets Detroit Pistons Tickets Detroit Red Wings Tickets Michigan Football Tickets If they're not into humor, a night at a comedy club might be the way to go. Failing that, you know everybody loves money. A few lottery tickets fit nicely in a stocking and can add a little excitement and serene pity to your holiday celebration. By da way have you received an email from "Dominic Gerard" at "Peugeot Automobiles Lottery" saying you won their promotion or lottery promo and to contact "Sir Paul Wilson" to collect your winnings? It is a scam. And don't get too excited if the names are different; the scammers make many versions of this scam!

2. A book light. If you're shopping for someone who loves to read, you can't go wrong wid da book light. Book lights help alleviate strain on the eyes. They also help people to read in bed after the lights go out. The Hell Kat aka my loverly wife Helen hates it when I read those automobile magazines late at night. You could go with either a traditional book light or one of the newer innovation, the light wedge. There's some dispute over which is better than the other. But whichever you choose, it'll make a nice compact gift that's easy to wrap.

3. DVDs/CDs. Surely there's a movie or music lover on your list. If so, gift giving just got easier for you. You can pick up a favorite DVD or CD at any mall. You can even order them from Amazon, already wrapped. I like da ones at da dollar stores. The Complete Movie Collection of Pia Zadora. Dat was a winner.

4. A collapsible umbrella. These new mini umbrellas not only fit in your hand, they fit in your pocket. Which would cause Mae West ta say, if ya met her, is that an umbrella in your pocket or are you just trying to get wet?

5. Silky Sheets. If someone you know is trying to add romance to da bedroom on the cheap, dey probably can't afford satin sheets or a canopy bed. But the talc in this new spray is almost as good. For about $9 or less, you can pick up a canister of this revolutionary spray talc. When used on the bed, it gives sheets the luxurious feel of satin. And the scent is intoxicating. Dee only problem was dat da Hell Kat kept slipping off da bed.

6. A handheld black light. Perhaps the person you're shopping for has a pet. If so, a hand held black light is a very useful thing to have. It'll help show any areas where pets have urinated or made a mess, and help a pet owner clean up odors before they get out of control. Dugger got insulted, but who cares?

7. A garlic press. Who doesn't love fresh garlic? There are ways to get more fresh garlic into your diet without the mess and hassle. A fantastic garlic press is just one of them. For less than $15, the Zyliss Susi Deluxe Garlic Press will press even unpeeled garlic, saving you time. The main problem is that it’s mostly handy when you only need to press one clove of garlic. If you’ve got lots to do, you’ll have to peel them first. Now, if you're buying for a more serious cook, buy the only garlic press they'll ever need: Rosle’s Garlic Press wid da convenient breat mints.

8. A timer. Small hand-held timers are useful for everything from boiling an egg to decluttering the house. When shopping for a timer, try to find one that will stand up on its own, clip onto clothing, and has a magnet on the back to stick it onto the fridge. The more flexible it is, the more your gift recipient will appreciate it.

9. A prepaid cell phone. No gift recipient wants to be saddled with service fees. So what if you could buy someone a phone just for emergencies, knowing there are no extra commitments? With the new prepaid cell phones, now you can. But if you're considering buying a prepaid cell phone for that special someone, be sure to compare prices between leading brands.

10. An MP3 Player. This is the cream of the crop as far as tiny gifts go this season. Imagine a little device, sometimes no bigger than a credit card, in which your special someone can store his or her entire music library. Maybe the person on your list likes to listen to audio books. Maybe the radio. Maybe he or she likes to work out to music. If so, an MP3 player is the way to go. You could invest in an ipod for the cool factor, but there are other products of equivalent functionality and sometimes superior functionality for much less. Ten tiny gifts that will be easy to wrap, easy to stuff into a stocking, and easy to carry wherever your holiday travels might send you.
